The Pericardium (PC)-6 (Neiguan) acupoint, or "Inner Pass," is located on the anterior forearm, two cun (approximately three finger-widths) above the wrist crease, situated between the tendons of the palmaris longus and flexor carpi radialis.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), regular massaging or gentle tapping of this vital gateway of Qi and Blood offers the benefits of calming the spirit and harmonizing the stomach. It is a primary choice for treating motion sickness, palpitations, and physical discomfort caused by anxiety.
Massaging PC-6 and the Pericardium Meridian regularly helps alleviate discomfort rooted in emotional stress, which is especially beneficial for women.
In TCM theory, chronic anxiety and frustration are the primary drivers of "Qi stagnation" and "phlegm stasis." These pathological factors often manifest along the meridian's pathway in the chest and costal regions, potentially leading to the formation of nodules or masses and increasing the risk of breast cancer.
Stimulating the Neiguan point promotes smooth Qi flow through these areas, directly resolving the stagnation that causes breast tenderness or localized lumps, thereby achieving proactive prevention and health maintenance.
